My biggest goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after your session. YOU matter to me and I completely understand how big of a deal it is to get professional photos taken. You can also find links to my Client Closet and Location Guide at the bottom of the page.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

how to dress for your session

  1. Try to start planning your outfits in advance. Don't wait until the day (or hour) of to plan your session wardrobe. There is nothing more stressful than driving to your session still deciding which shoes look best with your dress!
  2. Stick with neutrals and staples. With the ever changing trends it is best to stick to colors or styles that are timeless and neutral.
  3. Wear what you love! While it's fun to try new things, professional photos might not be the time to experiment with your personal style. Wear what is true to you and what makes you feel the most like yourself.
  4. Ask for help! If you have any questions or need an opinion about what to wear to your session, I am here for you!

How to pose during your session

  1. I love to shoot natural, candid moments that are authentic to you & your family. I love happy smiles, but there is no need to say "cheese!"
  2. Laugh, play, tickle! You can help create these candid moments by playfully interacting with your children or spouse while I take photos.
  3. When in doubt, look at each other! Most people will say that they feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. This is totally normal! One way to eliminate awkwardness is to look at the people you love most.
  4. Relax! Don't feel pressure to make everything perfect. Just be present with your family and I will do the rest. I am not stressed if your child is fussy or needs to take a break for a snack. I have experience photographing children and understand the struggles of photographing them. All I expect from you is to snuggle your family members close and I will move around you capturing precious moments.

What to expect after your session

  1. Starting immediately after your session, I will work behind the scenes to edit your photos. I spend hours editing & perfecting your photos. I look at each photo I take, choose the best ones, and individually edit each photo. Photos are generally edited within 2 weeks.
  2. Once your photos are completed I will send you a virtual gallery where you can view and download your photos onto your phone or computer.
  3. If you would like me to print your photos for you we can work together to pick your favorites and determine print sizes. I will hand deliver your professionally printed photos to you within a week.
  4. Enjoy your photos and the memories they hold!
